As I’m studying the Torah portion of the week (the section of the Hebrew Scripture scheduled to be read in synagogue), often a turn of phrase or word choice will jump out at me, and I find myself pondering the possible meanings.  Occasionally, interesting insights emerge, and I have decided to try and record them here.

Since these insights often come together on Shabbos, my intention is to post them afterwards, so the “fresh” postings will usually be on the last week’s portion, but perhaps over time, there will be enough of them so that when the parsha is read again the following year, a person could find something here in a more timely way.
